On and off about 24 years believe it or not

Who inspires or influences you
musically?
Artist:
Chaka, Whitney, Tina Marie, Jeff Osborne,
Earth Wind & Fire, Patsy Cline, Johnny Mathis, Howard Hewett, Mint
Condition, Jodeci, Rick James, and all the big bands from back in the
day that my mom and dad and friends brought me up on..the list goes on
and on.

What would your fans be surprised
to know about you?
Artist:
That I can be a little quiet and bashful at
times...lol (that should get a laugh from the people that know me)

What CDs are you personally
listening to now?
Artist:
Bobby Valentino, Carl Thomas, Usher, Amerie, my own!
RIMC:
What movie would you say could be
your life story?
Artist:
Soul Food for its family size and values,
home cooking, closeness. The fact that mom is the strength and head
of the family.

Who are your favorite local
artists?
Artist:
I’ve been fortunate to have had a really
fun time playing with a lot of RI’s greats! Uncountable laughs. Timmy
Fowler, Donald Campbell, Eric Colan, Jeffrey Thomas, Greg Williams,
Peter Page, Chucky Gray, Mac Odom,
CC Biggs, Lysa Davis, Gilda
Bettencourt, Michelle Hill...man, I could fill a page on this
question.

What’s your favorite food?
Artist:
Hmm, chocolate and/or pasta and cheese
RIMC:
What other talents do you have?
Artist:
I’m a good song writer, and I’m convinced there’s a drummer hiding
inside of me.
RIMC:
What do you do or what gets you in
the mood before you perform?
Artist:
I motivate myself and think about the transformation I have to make
from whom I am everyday and who I have to become on stage, sort of
change my mentality, and I sing a little to relax and warm up.
RIMC:
What has been your most
embarrassing moment?
Artist:
No way, I can’t answer this one. Too many,
too funny..lol
RIMC:
What has been your proudest moment
in life so far?
Artist:
Giving life to my son, Zachary Lewis…no contest!
RIMC:
If you ever won an American Music
Award or Grammy, who would you thank and why?
Artist:
Chaka and Whitney for being such great
vocal coaches, my family for always thinking I’m great no matter what
I’m doing, My son for giving me my purpose and making me happy, my
audience for praising me and enjoying me when I’ve done a good job,
all the musicians I’ve played with over the years, my Mom for being
such an inspiring and awesome woman “My Hero”, and last but not least,
Jesus Christ for my life, his love, and my talent.
