Throughout the 80s and 90s, the Eurythmics ruled the charts and
the airwaves all across the world with their unique blend of technology and soul. They have left behind a collection of hits such as “Here Comes the Rain Again”, “Would I Lie to You”, “Sisters are Doing it For Themselves” and of course their signature tune, “Sweet Dreams (are made of this)”

She has worked with Canadian recording artists such as Melani, and with "Tasha T" (3- time Canadian Reggae Music Award winner & Juno Nominee) on live shows as a back up vocalist. The most recent show was "Empress In Motion" in 2002.

Joe was born in Toronto, Canada. He learned to play the accordion at age 9, followed by his main instruments: piano and guitar. He’s been a professional musician for over 20 years and a tribute artist since l996. He is also a singer, songwriter, actor, arranger, engineer and producer. Opening for acts such as The Who, Procol Harum, The Band, Johnny Winter, Poco, Bonnie Tyler, he’s also recorded and published his original songs for established record labels and publishers -- covering everything from rock, metal, rockabilly, pop and new age styles of music.

Jourdan supports an amazing vocal range from bass to high alto, but it is his double bass voice that makes him a natural to impersonate 70’s soul sensation, Barry White. His professional singing career started in small clubs, where he not only performed his Barry White tribute, but developed his own stage show, as well.

Shining Star came together in 2007 for an Earth, Wind, and Fire tribute. Larry Miller (drums), from Philadelphia, Pa. has been in numerous soul and R&B bands that have toured and traveled throughout different parts of North America. With the previous experience of being in similar bands , he brought together several touring and studio musicians to complete Shining Star.

With a gospel singing background and a Phillip Bailey falsetto, Detroit based Mike Whitehead was discovered and quickly became part of the Shining Star family.

Speaking of family, Levi Johnson, the second vocalist, is Mike’s father. A fan and entertainer from the era of Earth, Wind & Fire, Levi has a soulful Maurice White style.

Our third, but first to join, vocalist Anthony Dupree, from Port Huron, Michigan, has a more distinct style with a rock background.

On rhythm and lead guitar, as well as backing falsetto, John Drew, of Windsor, Ontario, has been playing with Miller for the last eight years.

Detroit session ace Butch Ford, previously from one of Miller’s superstar bands, is on lead, rhythm, and synth guitar.

Another familiar member is the touring bass player Freddy Williams who has also played with Miller over the years as well as The Contours.
