Terri Penha Interview!
 My
goodness, it must be 'family' day at
RIMC! Switching to my
"Santos" side of the
family, my cousin Terri Penha
is our featured Interview Artist!
When I was singing with JustUzII-
The Osbornes, Norman
"Chucky" Gray decided to leave
the group to pursue other avenues and
since there was NOBODY that could take his
place, I decided to go in a different
direction with the group. I decided to
ask my Niece Myssi Santos
to join the group and she and I turned
JustUzII into a new direction with all
this funky 'girl group' material. I was
really able to get my Chaka fix in then!
After almost 2 years, Myssi decided to
move to Canada and get married. I was so
happy for her but I was devastated. There
was NO way, I would ever be able to pull
something like that unit off again.
Quietly in the background, something was
brewing. Because Missy was planning on
moving and starting a life in Canada and
planning a wedding, she was visiting there
often and we had a VERY busy gig schedule
so she needed a 'fill-in' for the times
she was gone for the weekend.
She attended our gigs and listened. She
was studying and NO one studies better
than a teacher. They are so different,
even though related, but my little cousin
Terri stepped up to the plate and began
filling in for Myssi. It's an
understatement in the least to say, she
surprised us all. And for going through a
rough spot in her life at the time, she
poured it out in her voice and just got
better and better.
Terri is the female lead vocalist for
Front & Center right now
and talk about a sweetheart? I love you
Terri, in case I've never said it,
THANK YOU!
